Glutinous Rice Flour
Water
Divide the glutinous rice dough into small portions and roll them into small glutinous rice balls. They should not be too large, as they are unfilled.
Bring water to a boil in a pot, add the glutinous rice balls, and cook until they float to the surface. Add a splash of cold water once during the cooking process, then remove them. Pour some osmanthus syrup into the pot, then add a small amount of brown sugar and water. Place the cooked glutinous rice balls into the osmanthus syrup mixture. Coat each glutinous rice ball evenly with the osmanthus syrup. Arrange on a plate, drizzle the remaining osmanthus syrup from the pot on top, and finally sprinkle with some chopped dried cranberries.
